I am seriously considering buying a vacation home and just don't know where to start as far as 1) how far does it make sense for my vacation home to be to my main home 2) does it make sense to buy mu vacation home across the country from my main home 3) would it make more sense to try to stay closer to my main home... etc. I am trying to get away from the hot, humid summers of TX - and to get into a nicer, cooler climate I would need to get out of TX - and want all of my 3 wonderful large dogs with me at all times. Can anyone share their experiences, please on purchasing a 2nd home? I would really appreciate it - don't want to make a big mistake here!!
